1. Acceptance of Terms

Minorstones (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Minorstones website and related services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Minorstones governing your use of the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Minorstones is a platform for sharing and celebrating life’s small wins and everyday victories. The Site allows users to read stories submitted by others, submit their own stories, subscribe to our mailing list, and interact with content (e.g., the “love” feature). We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Submissions and Content

3.1 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for any content you submit, including but not limited to text, images, titles, and author names. By submitting content to Minorstones, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, and create derivative works of your content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Site and our services. This licence continues for as long as your content is stored on our systems, including after you cease using the Site, except where removal is technically feasible and you have requested deletion.

4.2 Our Content

The Minorstones name, logo, design, and other materials created by us are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

5. Newsletter and Communications

If you subscribe to our mailing list, you consent to receive emails from us about Minorstones, including new stories, updates, and promotional content. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MINORSTONES AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT THEREON. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED POUNDS STERLING (£100). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Minorstones and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Site.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
